Seatoun - the village by the sea
Seatoun is on the east coast of the Miramar Peninsula, close to the entrance to Wellington Harbour. The community has a peaceful seaside ambience, with magnificent Norfolk pines forming an avenue down to nearby Seatoun beach. In the centre of Seatoun you'll find a 4-Square store, for your groceries, along with a small restaurant / café - for excellent local dining. All are just a five minute walk from Seaward. From Seatoun, you can easily reach the safe swimming beach at Worser Bay Beach on foot in 10 minutes. If you fancy taking a slightly longer walk, while carrying a set of golf clubs, then the superb Miramar Links is just a 5 minute drive away.
Explore the Miramar Peninsula
Seaward is located on the Miramar Peninsula, a stunningly beautiful promontory at the entrance of Wellington Harbour. You can explore the numerous bays and walkways of the peninsula with ease. The Eastern Walkway is the perfect way to experience the Peninsula. The track extends from the Pass of Branda at the Southern end of Seatoun, to Tarakena Bay. It’s 2.5 kilometers long and from it’s many viewpoints you can enjoy outstanding views of one of the most picturesque regions of the lower North Island.
